financial literacy workshop
The importance of financial interaction cannot be overstated, it is the key to building financial independence. It empowers people to navigate the complex financial landscape and secure their well being. As you age, financial literacy takes on greater importance. For disadvantage seniors, it’s not just about managing day-to-day expenses but also about safeguarding their savings and building foundation to enjoy their golden years. The path to economic security begins with basic money management. These essential skills include learning how to avoid scams, budgeting, apply for benefits and manage pre-paid debt cards.
IKOYI CDC is excited to announce the roll out its training course to educate older adults about smart money management skills. The 90 minute program is designed to provide Seniors with basic money management concepts for a limited budget, benefits of banking, budgeting basics, and an overview of public benefits and how to apply for them.
In partnership with local community agencies who will speak in detail to the diversity of programs and benefits eligible to our seniors, IKOYI CDC will offer nonprofit affordable housing developer properties specialized Financial Literacy workshops.
