$1.5K donated to Equality Dream Team

Equality Dream Team is a community-based 501c3 organization dedicated to creation of economic opportunities for underserved young people in Chicago through entrepreneurship education and lab engagements, apprenticeships or internships, corporate introductions, and other business advancement opportunities. Its vision is to inspire the often overlooked and underserved youth to pursue meaningful, sustainable career training and opportunities through the guidance of mentors and facilitators. This year IKOYI CDC and AHDVS donated $1,500 toward Equality Dream Team’s annual Career College Symposium which will be held Febuary 27, 2025 at UIC College Campus.

The Career College Symposium industry will feature top professionals who will share insights on job applications, effective communication, resume writing, interviews, internships, and industry trends.Students will also have the chance to connect with company representatives and ask questions.

At IKOYI CDC, we believe young people must be at the forefront of efforts to development professionals who enhance inclusion and racial equity within the Affordable Housing and Community Development field and assist in meeting the needs of diverse communities in the US. That’s why we are committed to supporting Equality Dream Team and it’s mission to uplift and equip the next generation of leaders.
